His rituals were performed at the Hendon Cemetery & Crematorium in London. His family and relatives were seen paying their last respects. His daughter Hitika and son Pratik read out heartfelt speeches as they remembered him at the funeral. They were seen recalling his larger-than-life energy, his laughter and his ability to regale those around him. His daughter also recalled how he used to call her ‘gudiya’. Galani is survived by his wife, son and daughter.
Earlier, Vijay’s best friend Rajat Rawail, who was also his colleague at IFTPC (Indian Film and Television Producers Council), earlier told ETimes, “It is a big tragedy. I used to talk to him almost daily. Just a couple of days back, he told me that he has now got almost completely cured and will be making arrangements to return to Mumbai very soon. I just can’t believe that I will never be able to talk to him hereafter.” He also said that his demise came due to sudden organ failure.
