In a throwback interview with a news portal, Rakesh Roshan had revealed that he is proud of how Hrithik’s fans idolises him. According to him, the ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ star has worked hard to reach where he is today despite all the roadblocks. The actor-turned-filmmaker also admitted that although he failed as an actor, he is living his dreams through his son.
Rakesh, who celebrates his 72nd birthday today, was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2019. Opening about his father’s battle against the dreadful disease, Hrithik had told another news portal that in his father’s generation, a man was taught that masculinity meant being a rock. That a father is someone who is very strong and never expresses his vulnerability. Tears, we were taught, are feminine. But being a student of life, Hrithik added that he has learned that strength does not mean the absence of tears. He realised that his father had held way too much inside of him and he felt it was unhealthy.
Hrithik has worked with his father on films such as ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’, ‘Koi Mil Gaya’, ‘Krrish’ and ‘Krrish 3’. The duo is also working on the next ‘Krrish’ film together.
Meanwhile, Hrithik is currently gearing up for ‘Fighter’ where he will be seen sharing the screen space with Deepika Padukone for the first time. Apart from this, he is also a part of the official Hindi remake of ‘Vikram Vedha’ co-starring Saif Ali Khan in the lead role.
