SEVENTEEN unveil ‘Ready To Love’ music video from ‘Your Choice’ album; S.coups, DK, WOOZI, Joshua, Seungkwan share inspiration behind the track


Korean Pop band SEVENTEEN are back and ‘Ready To Love‘.

The 13-member band dropped the official music video of their love track from their latest album ‘Your Choice’, Friday evening and it is bound to get any Carat excited. “I’m ready to love/ Tell me, we can stay together/ I’m a fool of love for you/ My heart by your side forever” the boys sing in the chorus that is all things romantic, fun and flirty.

The pop song has all the rhythm and beats to get you grooving and in the mood to confess your love. The pop song is a joint collaboration and was co-written by WOOZI, leader S.Coups and Mingyu. Renowned songwriter Kyler Niko and Korean acts like BUMZU, Danke and HYBE CEO Bang Si Hyuk have also worked on the track.

The band debuted their music video at a global press conference this afternoon. Revealing the meaning behind the song ‘Ready To Love’, DK, who is part of the vocal unit, said, “The song is about feeling love for a friend or a person who I thought was a friend and being courageously willing to confess my love.”

Speaking about the song, he went on to say, “It is an energetic R&B song. It feels very fresh. I hope that you will like this song and listen to it a lot as well.”

Group leader S.Coups shared his take on the album and said, “We are back with ‘Your Choice’ and I have been only thinking about Carats. I hope that you will all like this album that we have tried to put forward the power of love.”

WOOZI added, “The album is about the power of love and the different types of actions but in a more mature way. This album is about sharing what’s on my mind but respecting your choices. This is also the very sweet side of SEVENTEEN that we will show and also express our honest thoughts.”

While the song will definitely make it to Carats’ music playlist, the music video is also sure to play on loop, all thanks to the smooth choreography and captivating visuals. Hoshi, who is part of the performance unit, applauded his bandmates for their ability to pick up the dance routine when he said, “They were all like sponges and absorbed the choreography really quickly.”

Joshua stepped in to share his experience filming the ‘Ready To Love’ music video and said, “We had to dance in the rain and it was really fun. It felt like we were in a water park.”

The mini-album ‘Your Choice’ comprises of tracks like ‘Heaven’s Cloud’, ‘Ready to Love’ (Title track), ‘Anyone’, ‘GAM3 BO1’, ‘Wave’ and ‘Same dream, same mind, same night’.
